Teaching?

Oh my do I have a lot of respect for teachers. This summer I took up a task to teach a friend of mine French 1. I love French and recently went there during the spring a loved it. I also love teaching others, but I've never had a chance this big and continuous to do so. What do I do exactly? Well I teach vocab, grammar, and all of that shiz two hours every weekday which is quite intense for the body and mind tbh.

I've learned out of the entire experience so far that patience is key. You know that already of course, because you see teachers getting frustrated after repeating this so many times in class, but I never realized how much frustration. It's so intense, and you feel like you've let yourself and your students down because all of a sudden everything is lost. I'm trying to find better ways of coping with this and giving more patience to my student, but it's hard when you see them so often and it's so easy to just be done with everything. If you guys have any tips for me, please leave a comment below. Thanks! ;p

Movie Review: La Belle et le Bete (1946)

I don't like sticking with one hobby, and I feel like I only show my book loving side on this blog. Books are wonderful in every way, but I want to spice things up a bit, and because of the holiday season, I've been slacking on reading, and been a movie watcher instead.

Today, I'm going to tell you about La Belle et le Bete. If you didn't already know, that is the original Beauty and the Beast film. The film that became a huge success when France was in the World War II depression. It sounds wonderful and all, but if you've never seen it then you will be in a ride for yourself.

The movie is completely in French-there are English subtitles-as far as I know there is not a dubbed version, so don't count on it. If you are a French loving speaker, like moi, the movie is not too hard for beginner in French. I have only taken one and a half years of French classes myself, and I catch most of the words without reading the subtitles.

L'esprit de l'escalier

I recently found this on tumblr the other day and thought to myself how wonderful the French are with their language. I don't know about you, but for me I experience this everyday and it's that weird feeling when you leave a conversation wide open in you mind and you still have things to say. This happens more than none and I need to try to say what's on my mind more, I find myself over analyzing my thoughts that I want to say that I completely change the thought all together. If this feeling happens to you too please comment down below. I just wanted to share to you this French saying that the English dictionary should have. It's ridiculous that we don't and I believe that their should be something like it somewhere in the Oxford Dictionary.
